While explaining How to write a Covering Letter for Visa Application I’m assuming that this visa is for tourism. If it is for studies abroad or some other purpose just edit the subject accordingly. I have also shown an example letter. Example letter deals with the eNTRI [A Type of Visa] issued by Malaysia.

Syntax:

To,
The Visa Officer
Immigration Department of {Destination Country}.

Subject: Request to issue Visa/eNTRI/e-Visa

Sir/ Madam,

I am {Name} holder of passport number: {A0123456} would like to travel to {Destination Country} from {Home Country} for tourist purpose and stay there for 10 days. I have scheduled to depart from {Home City where you are departing from} on {Date of Departure from Home Country} and leave {Departuring City from where you are returning to Home Country} on {Date of Departure from Destination Country}. I have Attached the Tickets for confirmation.

If staying in Hotel:

I have attached the Hotel room tickets with this letter.

If staying in Friend/Relative’s house:

I plan to stay with my friend in {Destination Country} and I have attached the address in accommodation details with related documents. I have uploaded all supporting documents with this letter.
Kindly consider my Visa/eNTRI/e-visa application and grant necessary.

I am GokulDeepak holder of passport number: A0123456 would like to travel to Malaysia from India for tourist purpose and stay there for 14 days. I have scheduled to depart from Chennai on August 01, 2018 and leave Kuala Lumpur on August 14, 2018. I have Attached the Tickets for confirmation.

I plan to stay with my friend in Malaysia and I have attached the address in accommodation details with related documents. I have uploaded all supporting documents with this letter.

Kindly consider my eNTRI visa application and grant necessary.
